Evdoxia Fasoula was born in Athens in 1976. A forensic document examiner, and Doctor of Law from the University of Munich with a specialization in criminal law and juvenile criminology. Her path into photography began at the University of Urbino in Italy, where she focused on forensic photography. In recent years, her lens has turned toward the street. Through workshops and courses in Greece and abroad, she has immersed herself in street photography. Her work has been shown in Greek and international group exhibitions. She is the co_founder of @ifocus_women, moderator of @Rromastreet & @visions.of.art25, member of @shootlikealocal.
Evdoxia Fasoula' s camera most often roams the streets, attuned to the rhythm of reflexive music, searching for fractures in time, peculiarities, and subtle distortions of reality—moments that yield enigmatic images, often tinged with a cinematic or pictorial quality. Alongside this, her work also embraces intimate portraits and fleeting glimpses of her two children, using street photographic language. By employing techniques such as candid shots, reflections, and silhouettes, sometimes using unusual perspectives, she creates a visual topography that emphasizes the emotional and psychological impact of art. Evdoxia’s preference for underexposure adds a layer of mystery and intrigue to her images, while her use of film simulation effects and subtle color manipulation enhances the overall aesthetic. Beyond photography, she curates communication and art projects for Perispomeni publishing house, directed by her brother, Sotiris Fasoulas. Her written work spans from studies on language and writing to explorations of photographic and photo-optical media, culminating in the bilingual photo–graphology album Urban Graphemes (Improvisations)—a journey through the wall writings and inscriptions of the city, from graffiti to street art.
