An Istanbul-based candid street photographer and a chemical engineer by profession. Since 2015, I’ve been walking the chaotic streets of this city with one simple goal: to frame the unexpected. My work focuses on spontaneous juxtapositions that can’t be staged — illusions found in everyday life, visible only for a fleeting moment. I do — unscripted, vibrant, and full of visual irony. Photography, for me, is not just documentation — it’s a moment of escape. A pause. A punchline.

A visual artist: a graphic designer, illustrator, and street photographer with a passion for finding the absurd in everyday life and intriguing candid situations that somehow deviate from the norm. He has won over 70 awards and distinctions in photography competitions in Poland and internationally, and his graphics and photographs have been presented at over 200 events, exhibitions, and festivals.

Murat Harmanlıklı is an Istanbul-based street photographer whose work explores the subtle relationships between people, light, and urban life. His photography is driven by observation, patience, and an instinct for finding extraordinary moments within everyday life. Working primarily in the streets of Istanbul, he creates poetic visual narratives that balance humor, emotion, and ambiguity while reflecting the city's ever-changing rhythm. His photographs often reveal unexpected connections, fleeting gestures, layers of meaning that emerge from ordinary scenes. Rather than documenting the city, he seeks to capture its atmosphere, inviting viewers to slow down and rediscover the poetry hidden in everyday life.
